Setup and evaluation
The car starts in a valley and cannot simply accelerate straight to the goal. Test whether a policy learns to move away from the target to build momentum, and compare success rate and steps to the goal over multiple episodes.
Install with pip install gymnasium and create gymnasium.make('MountainCar-v0'). The actions are discrete. Enable the classic-control extra if you want to display the simulation.
