Privacy Policy
How Mega AI Hub handles personal information and how to contact us about it.
Effective
What we collect
- Account information. We store your email address, display name, a password hash, email verification status, and account settings such as your profile visibility. Signed-in bookmarks and contribution history are associated with your account.
- Content you share. We receive the discussion posts, bios, resource submissions, ratings, and messages you choose to send us. A resource submission may include your name or attribution, a license, source links, and the material you submit.
- Technical information. Server logs may record your IP address, request time, requested page or search URL, browser or device information, and referring page. We also keep identifiers and counters used to manage sessions, protect forms, and apply usage limits.
How we use it
We use this information to provide accounts and saved resources, verify email addresses, reset passwords, display and moderate discussions, review contributions, respond to requests, and maintain the security and reliability of the service. We use technical records to understand site activity, diagnose issues, and detect abuse.
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we use account information to provide the features you request, rely on legitimate interests for security, moderation and service operation where appropriate, and process information to meet applicable legal obligations. Where consent is required, we ask for it.
Cookies and browser storage
We use a session cookie for sign-in and form security. If you rate a resource, a separate cookie helps the site recognize your browser’s rating. Guest bookmarks and certain preferences stay in your browser unless you choose to import bookmarks into your account. You can clear or block browser storage in your browser settings. Doing so can sign you out or remove preferences and guest bookmarks.
What others can see
Your email address and account bookmarks are private to your account and authorized site administration. Your display name and discussion posts are public when you post to a public discussion. Your bio becomes public if you choose to publish it. An approved contribution may appear in the catalog with its attribution and source details.
Service providers that help operate hosting, email delivery, backups, and security may handle information needed for their work. We may disclose information when required by law or to respond to abuse, security incidents, or legal claims. If you open an external link or use a feature provided by another service, that provider handles information under its own policies.
How long we keep it
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to operate the features you use, resolve requests, maintain security and backups, and meet legal obligations. The period depends on the kind of record and why we hold it. When we remove information from active systems, it may remain in backups until those backups expire.
Your choices and requests
You can update your display name, change whether your bio is public, and manage your bookmarks through your account. You can also remove your own discussion posts. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, email support@megaaihub.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to receive a portable copy, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent where we rely on it, or complain to your data protection authority.
