About this resource

Initial release of the MATLAB code and processed data supporting: Hould Gosselin, G., Rutter, N., Mann, P. J., Marsh, P., and Sonnentag, O.: Fine-scale spatial variability of winter CO2 and CH4 fluxes in Arctic tundra derived from snowpack gradient measurements, Biogeosciences (in review), egusphere-2025-5637. Contents Processed snowpack CO2 and CH4 concentration profiles, concentration gradient models, and per-profile flux inputs and outputs for 119 microsites along five transects (T1-Shrub, T2-Mixed, T3-Tussock, T4-Forest, T5-Inlet) at Trail Valley Creek, Northwest Territories, Canada, sampled 20 to 25 March 2024. Processing scripts for concentration step detection ( GGA_2024_Processing.m ), flux input assembly ( Flux_snowpackDiffusion_dataPrep.m ), and diffusive flux and uncertainty calculation ( Flux_2024_snowpackDiffusion.m ). Figure scripts reproducing Figs. 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8 and the barometric pressure values reported in Sect. 2.3. Requirements MATLAB R2025b with the Statistics and Machine Learning, Curve Fitting and Signal Processing toolboxes. Notes Raw field data (SMP profiles, UGGA time series) and meteorological records are not included. README.md lists the files required by each script and the variables, units and structure of each data file.
